Welcome to Jersey's only dedicated occupational health provider
WorkHealth Jersey is committed to improving employee health, and can manage all your Occupational Health needs. Our qualified staff provide pre-placement medicals, sickness absence management, health surveillance, ill-health retirement assessments and specialist OH advice and consultancy.Β
From our modern accessible premises in the heart of St Helier’s business district, we use the latest in diagnostic equipment to monitor employee health, including audiometry for hearing loss, spirometry for lung disease, and automated vision screening. If it is more convenient we can come to you and perform health checks in the workplace, when appropriate.
Using our state-of-the-art IT system your managers and HR departments can make online referrals, gain employee consent, track progress and get the advice they need as efficiently as possible. We can also provide bespoke management information reports to your requirements. Our fully secure system is compliant with all data protection and GDPR standards, and our data resilience means you will always have access to the information you need.
As the the only full-service OH provider on the island, we are uniquely placed to provide tailored advice in line with the Jersey Health & Safety, Employment and Discrimination laws.
Our Services
We provide a full range of occupational health and medicine services, and we are happy to discuss any bespoke requirements
Pre-placement medicals ensure your new staff are are fit for their work and that any necessary adjustments are identified in advance, in line with the Discrimination (Jersey) Law 2013.
Absence caused by ill-health and injury is costly for all businesses and can harm employee health and wellbeing. Get the advice and support your business needs to minimise disruption, and the support your employees need at the time they need it the most. We can also provide assessments for ill-health retirement as required by pension and insurance schemes.
In many industries exposure to certain hazards is unavoidable, and we can advise on when health surveillance is required. We can provide surveillance for Noise Induced Hearing Loss, Occupational Lung Diseases, Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome, Occupational Skin Disorders, Work-related Stress, and any other monitoring required in your specific circumstances.
When your work is critical, so is the health of your employees. Our doctors are qualified to carry out specialist occupational assessments, including safety critical worker assessments, working with lead, asbestos and radiation, and offshore worker and diving medicals.
If you don’t know where to start, we are able to assist with a full OH needs assessment, review of your health & safety policy and/or risk assessments, workplace health initiatives or any other requirements you might have. We’re happy to discuss any project, large or small.
COVID-19 is challenging all businesses to rethink staff safety and wellbeing. WorkHealth Jersey is led by Dr Chris Edmond, who was the island’s clinical lead for COVID PPE, so we are uniquely experienced to advise on risk assessments, safety measures and being a COVID secure workplace.
Whether you are a large business looking for a full occupational health service, or a small start-up looking for one off advice, we can help!
Our vision: Working in partnership to optimise employee health in all sectors
